History
Koninklijke Van Kempen & Begeer, a company founded in 1789, has forged a worldwide reputation for designing and manufacturing durable stainless steel products and timeless silverware. Royal VKB, launched in 2004 to focus on innovation, is the youngest brand of this 200 year old plus Dutch company. The goal of Royal VKB is to concentrate on developing products that offer solutions for modern living. The period we now live in is marked by a fast-changing way of life, constantly shifting consumer patterns and very varied life styles. Preparing food and enjoying a balanced meal has become more important than ever and Royal VKB are very aware of that ensuring that all their products begin their life cycle with the sentiment "our thoughts for food..."
Thoughts for Food
Kitchens accumulate tools; countless knives, each one even more practical than the last; funny but impractical can openers; nor do we ever seem to have enough cutlery! Nearly all kitchens are like this yet, amidst the clutter, we can all still find our favourite knife or spatula. We sort and store our tools without even noticing and yet how has this come to be? Studies show that we choose what to replace once we are in the shop, initially setting aside the original, but then, if our replacement is not as good, falling back to the old, trusted one. At Royal VKB they are aware of that and thus ensure that they design and create products that have a use, more than one in fact, and thus perform better so that you always prefer them.
